Here at our workshop we use traditional fixing methods including dovetail joints on drawer fronts.

Your furniture can be made from a variety of hardwoods from Oak, Mahogany, Beech and Walnut - depending on your budget.

Newly felled timber releases moisture rapidly at first as free water evaporates, then more slowly as water within the cell walls is given up. Shrinkage occurs more in the wood during the drying period, where as movement in the wood causes it to expand or shrink after it has been seasoned depending on its surroundings.

When selecting our wood, we try to look for well-seasoned, air or kiln dried stock from sawmills across Yorkshire.

Certain species of wood, such as mahogany, teak and yellow pine behave much better then other wood choices. The advantage being that they all have low movement and good stability.

Here at our factory we specialise in Reclaimed timber and exotic hardwoods - depending on your budget.

We can implement screens, mirrors, carvings and moulding or if you prefer a combination of differnt solid woods into your furniture.
